Kia is South Korea’s oldest auto maker. Founded in 1944 as Kyungsung Precision Industry in Seoul, Kia produced Korea’s first bicycle called the Samchully. The Kia name is derived from Chinese: ki means “to arise or come up out of” and the “a” refers to Asia; put together, Kia means “to arise or come up out of Asia.” Kia officially arrived in the United States in 1994.

Founded in 1977 by Mike Leep Sr. and Van Gurley, the Gurley Leep Automotive Family began with a Buick dealership in South Bend, Indiana, built on a simple belief: treat people the right way and success will follow.
Today, as one of Michiana’s most recognized and respected automotive groups, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do. As a family-owned business led by Mike Leep Jr. and James Leep, the Gurley Leep Automotive Family has grown to represent 20 automotive brands across 24 dealerships in five states, supported by more than 1,500 dedicated team members.

Gurley Leep Autocampus
Gurley Leep Kia is excited to share that we are working on a new facility for our store that will be part of our new auto campus. This updated location is being designed to create a more comfortable, modern, and convenient experience for our guests.
